About
Stargate meets Myst. This is probably what you wanted from a Stargate game Minecraft adventure map. I know what I wanted: forgotten civilisations, ancient secrets, exploration of ruins, rich, atmospheric worlds, all within a hand's reach with the help of a simple and elegant thing -- a stargate. So I built it. And I want you to play it and have as much fun as I had making it.

What's new in this version?
A new revamped and updated version of my old Stargate map, and this one is mod free!
These are some of the improvements from the previous version:
- introduced command block animated machinery
- implemented cleaner and cooler design
- fixed and optimized redstone circuits
- introduced scoring system

FAQ

What is this bs?
This map is an exploration adventure puzzle with elements of complete-the-monument. It is based on the Stargate universe. The map features a storyline, complicated redstonery and a 6 worlds accesible through the Stargate, including Earth, Abydos, legendary Ancients vessel Destiny and other weird places.

Meh... You gotta do more than that, pal.
How about incredible fully-functional redstone machinery, including seven chevron dialling panel, transporter rings and automatic doors (check it out in creative mode afterwards!)? It's co-op friendly, it has crazy level of detail and scale, it features O'Neill, Carter and Teal'c cameos, and it took me YEARS to make (literally)!

OK, I see your point. But I bet you didn't bother to make a custom resource pack.
There is a resource pack! It is mostly sounds, so a you can use any texture pack you like (as long as the basic default blocks are the same as in vanilla (e.g. stone is stone, and not some fancy futuristic tiles)). I would recommend Soartex or Sphax for the texture packs. It is important that you put the Stargate: Adventure resource pack on top of everything else, though, so that custom painings make sense in the map.

So how long will this take to play?
Gameplay time is 1.5 to 4 hours, depending on your style.

Can I play with my friends?
Yes! Coop is supported.

Installation
1) Extract the archive.
2) Put "S.A" folder in your .minecraft/saves directory.
3) Put "Stargate Adventure map sounds" in your .minecraft/resourcepack directory.
4) In game put the Stargate: Adventure resource pack on top of everything else.
5) On servers enable command blocks!
6) In case you need it, start spawn coordinates are 447 45 80.
