NOTE:
In order for the Tissous' Zombie Pack and Fresh Animations Resource packs to work properly, you MUST install Optifine (version H9) and add it to the modpack's mod folder manually. Details on how to do this in the images tab. Optifine is also required if you want to use shaders. Once Optifine is installed, drop your shader of choice into the shaders folder.

What is it?
Cursed Walking is a Minecraft Zombie Apocalypse Modpack.
What makes it different?
1) Cursed Walking is the ONLY zombie apocalypse modpack that is available for 1.19.2. The vast majority of related modpacks are only available for the very outdated 1.12.2 version of Minecraft. Due to this, some good mods are not included on this list due to version constraints, but the heart of what makes a zombie apocalypse is here.
2) The modpack is regularly being updated with new content. Version 4 is out, adding more mods suggested by all of you in the comments on this page and on the above Youtube video. Feel free to make suggestions, as they might make it into the next version!
2) There are lots of editions to choose from. With version 4, you can choose to install the Full edition, Map Edition, No Extra Structure Edition, or the Lite edition of this modpack to fit your needs. More info on each edition in the changelog.
3) Cursed Walking is very customizable. You have the option to change the spawn rate of cities, choose which mobs spawn, toggle certain special features for zombies on and off, and more!
History:
There's lots of zombie apocalypse modpacks out there. Decimation, Winter Zombies, and CraftZ are just to name a few. All of these offer a lot of mods and resource packs to make Minecraft as apocalypse like as possible. However, this comes at one major trade off.
They are only playable on OLD versions of Minecraft. We're talking 1.12.2 or older. Back in that era the Nether looked like barf, caves were merely holes in the ground, and the Warden was unheard of.
So naturally, seeing this problem, I set out to fix it. And hence, this modpack was born.

Details about the different editions:
Full Edition: This is the default, normal version of the Cursed Walking modpack. It has all the mods you need to experience an immersive and fun zombie apocalypse. For the vast majority of people, this is the modpack edition to play, but if you would like a more tailored experience to your specific needs, check out the other editions of this version of the modpack.
Lite Edition: With 20 mods total, this version includes only the bare minimum of mods needed to turn Minecraft into a zombie apocalypse. Useful as a base for adding more mods of your choosing, or a good option if you have a low end pc.
No Extra Structures Edition: This edition of Cursed Walking has all the mods provided in the Full version, except that no structure generation mods are included. Mods like Philip's ruins, Apollo's Structures, and Human Companions are not included in this edition. The Lost Cities mod is included in this edition, but it has to be manually enabled in the world generation settings to generate structures. The reason I made this version is because many structure generation mods don't work well with Lost Cities and the structures can spawn inside lost city buildings or up in the sky. If this issue does not bother you, then I suggest you download the Full edition of this modpack.
Map Edition: This version of Cursed Walking is the largest. It includes all the content from the Full version, in addition to a few other mods. The big highlight of this version is that I created a world, called "Zombie Map", which is a survival world set in a city. The city itself was created thanks to the Lost City structure generation, but I added some other additions to make surviving and exploring more interesting. There is also some lore, you start out with weapons, and there is lots of decorations and subtle details throughout. The world I created hasn't been significantly tested, so there may be some issues. Let me know if you run into any problems.
