After searching all around for a good zombie pack in the 1.16.5 Minecraft version, I realized that's almost inexistent! So I concluded to make a good one with some hardcore ideas to make you feel the pain and challenge of surviving in a hardcore apocalyptic world.
The goal of this modpack is to create an immersive zombie survival experience with tons of hardcore elements. Your main goal is to survive for as much as possible and possibily create your own survival experience with your own fantastic base within the city!

This pack aims for a single player experience.
To start your world make sure to follow those settings in the world generation menu:
- More World Options -> Generate Structures: OFF (To rid of villagers)
- More World Options -> World Type: Realistic
- More World Options -> Cities -> Profile: disable -> Profile: onlycities
Some Important Changes YOU need to do:
- Go in the controls panel and take off every single incompatibility with z key and leave "Open/Close Equipment menu", otherwise you won't be able to open craftingdead's menu.
- Check if you can Left click + Shift on a chest or other blocks with an iterface to trasport them all over the world, if it's not working, change Controls in the Carry on/Carry section.
- Don't forget to activate in the resource pack option "Tissou's Zombie Pack" for a scarier experience!
- Be sure to enable, after you downloaded and installed Optifine, Dynamic Lights in the Video Settings!
- If you want to use custom outfits provided by craftingdead mod, press "V" to hide vanilla armor.
For a stable gameplay, download Optifine! (Just put the jar file in the mods folder.)

For all the Craftings, check out JEI menu on the right part of the screen after opening your inventory. Use LEFT click to see how an item is crafted and RIGHT click to see what you can craft with it.

Starting Guide:
(Make sure to follow it, otherwise you'll be lost!!!!!)
- Start gathering resources (mostly wood) by breaking doors, fences, pressure plates, ladders and other stuff that are made of wood! REMEMBER that you can't break logs of wood until you have an axe.
- Use Barks and Sticks to create an oak plank.
- After you got wooden pickaxe, you can start breaking iron bars, iron doors or rails to get iron!
- Break libraries to get paper and barks.
- Get coal by smelting wood or find it in the nature or by breaking furnaces found in the city! (Check out furnace recipe in the jei!)
- Try to break as much of stuff as possible, because you'll get some special drops from most of the blocks!
- You can get iron, gold and redstone by breaking rails and redstone torches.
- Make sure to get brewing stand as soon as possible with a golden apple to cure a possible infection. (You'll need a lot of cure to survive!)
- Look around in the houses to get hands on some special supplies found in the chests!
- Break and kill everything you see to discover what they can give you ;)
- From 1.8 version were added game stages that will allow you to unlock some specific craftings after a specific condicion! (Check game stages list for more info)
Game stages:
If you already got sleeping achievement, type "/gamestage add YourName one" to unlock the stage.
- You won't be able to craft beds untill you'll craft and sleep in a sleeping bag! (Sleeping bags won't set your spawn point! It can be a problem in a normal survival game.)
Some usefull Tips for your survival and progress:
- By putting an empty bullet magazine in the anvil with gunpowder, you'll be able to refill it.
- Make as fast as possible a sleeping bag! (Bed crafting was removed!)
- Loot everything from chests located in the buildings!
- Get bonemeal by cooking fishes with Farmer's delight mod!
- Get an automated spot for resources with Water Strainer Mod.
- Use double tap on W,A,S,D to get a small dash in the key direction.
- By pressing shift near a wall, while falling, you can slide down without taking any damage!
- Use the Ancient tome to get an upgrade to your enchanting book at max level to max it even MORE!
- When the difficulty will rise to 2.0, be aware that zombies with diamond pickaxes and axes will start to break some blocks.
- By pressing "Z" (After you configured it in the controls) you can use craftingdead's menu to put some extra armor or to customize your weapons!
- Some zombies can shot you with 2 hits! Even with a full Iron set!
- Zombies with tnt can't destroy any blocks, but you can.
- Since there are some items that will lose their material after they were broke or can be found in the world, but can't be crafted, use carry on mod to transport special blocks all over the place.
- After you made yourself a cool base, use Moving Elevators mod to make it even cooler!
- Make sure to check craftingdead's Jei by typing @craftingdead in the serach bar! You'll get to know some usefull stuff about new craftings for new weapons since you won't get standard swords.
