 Leveling up your Weapons and Armor as if Minecraft was an RPG.


  

 

 


Weapon Leveling is supporting multiple kinds of weapons and armor
(Screenshots made together with the Better Combat mod. Attack Range is not added by Weapon Leveling)

Items don't break completely (1.3+)

You can repair any item, that is broken, however it is unusable in that state.

Repairing works the same way it does with non-broken items. Using an anvil, you can use the repair material of the item to replenish durability. Mending will also work. However, repairing it in the inventory/grindstone will not let the item keep its levels.

Info for Updates beyond 1.18.2
The mod will have a complete rewrite to increase compatibility. This will happen on 1.18.2 first and will later get a 1.19.X port. I will only update to the latest 1.19 version once I am ready, because I do not want to support 20 Versions at a time. Please be patient, this will take some time.

🔧How the mod works
General:
Killing different mobs will give you weapon XP Points(Default: Animals=2; Monsters=10; Mini Bosses=50; Boss=100). Hitting Entities will also give you 1 XP point occasionally (Default: 20% Chance).
The default max level is 500, every level will take more XP Points to level up than the one before it.

Weapons:

Every level will increase the weapon's overall damage by 0.1 Attack Damage. 

 

Armor:
Every level will increase the amount of damage reduction. This happens relative to the maximum reduction percentage (Default: 75%).


Almost all of these Values can be adjusted via the mod's server config.


The mod also adds a command to change the item's level:
/itemlevel set <player> <value> [level/points]


🤔My Weapon doesn't work, what do I do?
Melee Weapons that are Axe or Sword-like usually work without any issue. What if they don't? Well, you can register Items that should work as well in the serverconfig. There, there should be an option called "melee_items". In this list you can add any ID and most of the time it will work. But what if it doesn't work now? Well, in that case, please make a bug report on my GitHub and tell me what mod does not work. I will try to add it in an upcoming update.

You can also add individual values for weapons via data packs and in the item's NBT. Read more here.
