Texture pack Devolution by Bold_Muddy

When I was very young, I would enjoy watching Minecraft Videos that showcase old designs of features of Minecraft. The old gravel and bricks texture, how bright the grass block was, how the Creeper came to life. We all love and remember those designs and they truly give the vibe of simplicity to a game all about being simple yet unique.

Around 4 Years ago I wanted to start a project with my friend, I never knew how to make Resource-Packs but I knew I wanted to make this pack, a way to see every single thing in Minecraft as it's oldest design. We made a Discord Server, gathered a very small amount of images and I tried recreating them, the process was very inefficient so we cancelled the project.
Around the beginning of 2020 I learned how to properly make Resource-Packs but at Summer of that year I remembered of a project I forgotten about, and realized I can finally make it.

This project has been about a year in the making, and even though it looks bad, it's suppose to look like that. This truly took me an extremely long time to research on but I am very proud of what it has become!

Basically this pack will take every single item, block and mob and attempt of giving it the absolute first original version we know of it. This isn't just another Beta or Alpha pack, this applies to every single feature even in 1.17! There is a VERY small amount of actual recreations, most of the textures and models are straight from early versions of Minecraft!

Special thanks to the Minecraft Wiki who has provided me with a lot of information for this pack and downloads to versions of Minecraft.

The Discord Server is a great place to discuss this pack if you found any bugs or mistakes or if you want to contribute to the pack, it is likely the pack still might have a few wrong things. For example currently I still have not added the old Axolotls because I don't have the old textures yet.

I will not license this pack like my others packs since 99% of the assets here were made by Mojang and it's developers. However some assets were recreated by other people so I wouldn't recommend taking assets from this pack and claiming as if it's yours.

This pack requires Optifine, but I will work on an Optifine-free version soon!
