Texture pack LUSTER by emihead

In Minecraft's texture update, many of the game's blocks and items were given a new look, ranging from subtle changes to complete overhauls. However, some of them were left behind - likely due to the nostalgia tied to them. However, whether you like those old textures or not, it's impossible to deny that some of them contrast quite harshly with the rest of the game.

That's what LUSTER aims to change. Taking inspiration from Jappa's work, I plan to go through many of the textures which were left behind by the texture update and bring them up to speed with everything else, without making too many fundamental changes to how they look. I hope to address a lot of the inconsistencies between items made of the same material and provide an overall more cohesive aesthetic than the vanilla game. I'm fully aware that there are already several other packs with similar goals to this one, but I wanted to throw my hat into the ring and offer my own take on the idea.

Another big change to the pack is here in 1.19, with many tweaks to the game's UI! The UI going unchanged for so long was always a bit strange to me, so I tried to give it a bit of subtle polish and smoothing out in order to put it more in line with everything else. I didn't modify the health and hunger bars, because Better HUD already does that job very well. Go check it out!

If you don't like the UI changes, feel free to use the older version of the pack instead, as it works completely fine on 1.19 despite the warnings.

LUSTER is far from being completely finished, and I have lots of plans for the future. I hope you enjoy what exists of the pack so far, and make sure to check for updates every once in a while!
