MineOS 98 is a GUI resource pack that changes all containers and some other elements of Minecraft and gives them a retro/nostalgic look based on that of Microsoft Windows 98.

This first release changes all GUIs, the pack as a whole still needs some polishing, but the first version is still perfectly usable.

The aesthetic of the pack is of heavily cluttered windows overlaping and tons of elements and icons, which might get confusing if you're not at least a bit familiar with the Minecraft menus, so if you're relatively new to the game, I'd recomned to first get used to the vanilla GUIs.

This pack also freestlyes a bunch with the design of minecraft, some slots look out of place by one or two pixels, and most importantly, the placement of text is changed, to do this, I've had to change the language files, meaning that unless you want to see floating text all over the place, this pack works best when the language selected is UK English, US English or Spanish (More to be added in the future)

I might try to make a more simplified and easier on the eyes version in the future.

I've also got plans to make variations with different Windows colour themes and perhaps even with different Operating Systems.

Optifine features and a menu panorama are also ideas that are pending to introduce.

I will try my best to port this to bedrock and to older versions.

Many of the icons used are taken directly from Windows 98 using the website Windows 98 Icon Viewer and I take no credit in having created them.
